Here are the top three stories today in Marietta:

1. The Marietta City Council is reviewing a request for a new medical office building at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. The proposal would construct a 22,000-square-foot structure at Roselane Street and North Avenue. The site's current zoning is for single-family homes. The Marietta Planning Commission is not recommending that the zoning be changed by the council. (MDJOnline.com)
2. A Cobb County student was struck by a vehicle on Tuesday morning while walking to school. She was struck near North Cobb High School on Old 41 Highway. The student is currently at a local hospital in an unknown condition. The Cobb County Police Department reports that the vehicle's driver was not at fault. (WSB Atlanta)
3. Marietta's Georgia Metropolitan Dance Theatre has announced its 2022-2023 season lineup. The first performance will be Friday, Sep. 23, with a student-choreographed, student-directed production. The company has 125 students in various age groups. Click to get tickets. (City of Marietta)
