  1. Cobb County Public Library's Movie Monday selection is "Spiderman: No Way Home." The sensory-friendly event will take place at the library today between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Participants are encouraged to bring lunch or snacks to the screening. Attendees can register online for this or next week's movie, which will be "Boss Baby: Family Business." (Cobb County Courier)
  2. The Cobb County Fire Department reports that multiple units were damaged during a fire in nearby Smyrna. The cause of the fire has not been discovered yet. The department is considering whether the fire was started by fireworks or by lightning. Fire crews were able to rescue everyone from the fire, including a cat. (11Alive.com WXIA)
  3. Cobb County has opened its latest round of American Rescue Plan Act funding. The funds are meant for projects that fulfill a community need, including community health, support services, economic development, county infrastructure, and public safety. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis; click to apply before the Sep. 9 deadline. (Cobb County Courier)
