  1. The Cobb County Police Department is investigating a Sunday morning shooting at an apartment complex. According to the department, the incident occurred at The District at Vinings on Paces Ferry Road. Details are slim but initial reports indicate that a man was shot. His condition is unclear as of Sunday evening. (11Alive.com WXIA)
  2. Cobb County residents will now be able to apply for new passports at two Cobb County Public Library branches. The service will be offered at West Cobb and Mountain View through the U.S. Department of State's Passport Acceptance Facilities program. Branch staff members have been trained to process the applications for first-time applicants. Renewals will not be processed at the branches. (Cobb County Courier)
  3. The Cobb County Public Library has added Kanopy to its list of streaming video services for patrons. The service offers a wide variety of movies and documentaries. There is also a Kanopy Kids version for the county's younger residents. Participants will need to register for the service separately but the registration process is reportedly very fast.
