Open Bluegrass Jam, Traffic Guide, National Cheesecake Day
Learn about some of the things happening in and around Marietta Tuesday, July 30, including the Open Bluegrass Jam on Marietta Square, road work and lottery sales.

Here are five things to keep in mind in and around Marietta this week:
- Tuesday is National Cheesecake Day, which celebrates the smooth, creamy, decadent dessert and all of its wonderful flavors. Copeland’s of New Orleans is celebrating National Cheesecake Day with a buy one, get one deal on its cheesecake slices and $10 off each whole cheesecake. The Cheesecake Factory is celebrating by offering any cheesecake slice at half price.Â
- Local convenience stores may be busy the next few days as lottery players snatch up tickets in the hopes of winning a big jackpot on Wednesday. How big? Try $235 million.
- Pull out your guitar and head over to Marietta Square. Every Tuesday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., the Australian Bakery hosts an Open Bluegrass Jam. Join in the circle inside the shop or pick in one of the several groups that have blossomed under the oaks out front on the sidewalk. Come in to play or just listen. The Bakery is located on Marietta Square at 48 South Park Sq NE  Marietta, GA 30060.
