Road Reopens After Second Gas Leak Near MHS
Whitlock Avenue near Marietta High School was closed Monday morning due to a gas leak. The road was also closed on Friday in the same area due to another gas leak.

Whitlock Avenue was closed on Monday due to a gas leak that occurred just before 10:30 a.m., according to Marietta Police.
A construction crew struck and ruptured a gas main on Whitlock Avenue near Marietta High School. This is the second gas leak to hit the area in as many work days.
Emergency crews shut down Whitlock Avenue from Burnt Hickory Road to Carriage Oaks Drive in both directions on Monday. Crews repaired Monday's leak before noon.
