Serious Marietta Crash Injures Man When He's Thrown From Vehicle
The crash happened Monday morning when, for some reason, a Ford pickup left the roadway and struck a utility pole.

MARIETTA, GA -- Police are expecting to file charges in a serious crash that happened Monday morning on Canton Road at Piedmont Road. Police said a maroon 1998 Ford F-150 was traveling northbound on Canton Road when, for unknown reasons, it Ford left the roadway and struck a utility pole then a stone wall. After striking the wall, the Ford began to rotate, re-entered the roadway, and collided with a black 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer SS which was traveling northbound.
After being struck by the Ford, the Chevrolet left the roadway at the intersection of Canton Road and Old Piedmont Road where the driver brought it to a stop.
The driver of the Ford, 38-year-old Patrick Bruce of Marietta, was unrestrained in his vehicle and was ejected during the collision. He was transported to WellStar Kennestone Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The driver of the Chevrolet, 53-year-old Donna Kelley of Marietta, did not sustain any injuries.
