Here are the top three stories today in Marietta:
- Marietta's Strand Theatre will be hosting Silent Movie Day on Thursday, Sep. 29. To celebrate, the theatre is using live organists to provide the movie's soundtrack. The screenings will start at 3:00 p.m. and end at 8:45 p.m. A feature film will cost $10 and a short film will cost $5. (Cobb County Courier)
- The City of Marietta will be hosting its Ugly Sweater Holiday Parade on Thursday, Dec. 1. This is the first time that the city has held the event. The Ugly Sweater Holiday Parade is part of the city's Christmas Tree Lighting Festival. The parade will start at Marietta City Hall Upper Parking Deck at 4:45 p.m. Participants will walk 0.4 miles during the event. (Cobb County Courier)
- Marietta's Wellstar Health System reports that clinical documentation completed in real-time has risen by 80 percent after introducing the Rover program. Nurses and hospital staff are able to review patient data and complete documentation on smartphones using the Rover program. The system started using the program six months ago. Click to learn more. - Marietta City Schools is hosting "Stuff The Bus" to benefit Children's Healthcare of Atlanta on Friday at Northcutt Stadium. The community is invited to donate unopened Play-Doh and Lego sets to the stadium between 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. (Marietta City Schools via Facebook)
