A regional library is reopen after a major renovation. Also, another library is hosting an Open Word Showcase on Saturday.

MABLETON, GA -- The two-month renovation project is complete and South Cobb Regional Library is reopen. Library officials said patrons will enjoy an open and functional layout with a more colorful setting, a designated activity area, new teen space, more tables and cubicles for individual study and a consolidated area for children and adults.

“Returning patrons will immediately experience an improved environment for engaging with all the library offers and with the community,” Roxanne Magaw, library branch manager, said. “More than a makeover for the 13-year-old facility, this renovation underscores how the South Cobb Library is a focal point for community life in the region.”
