🌱 Surveillance Footage Released + Cobb County Toll Lane Expansion

Here are the top three stories in Marietta today:

1. The Marietta Police Department released surveillance footage of the apartment building hallway during the tragic shooting of Grayson Green on May 21. The department hopes the footage will allow the community to come forward with information regarding a suspect. The reward for information leading to an arrest in the case has been raised to $10,000. 2. Cobb County has expressed unexpected support for the plan to expand Interstate 285 with toll lanes. The project would cross Cobb, Fulton, and DeKalb counties. The Georgia Department of Transportation reports that the toll lanes would be completed by 2032. (Planetizen)
3. Cobb County is celebrating 25 years of receiving AAA ratings from the three New York-based credit rating agencies. The exceptional credit rating allows the county to borrow money at a lower cost. The rating is given to communities that exhibit strong county management with a strong business community. Only 1.5 percent of counties in the U.S. are AAA-rated by all three agencies. (Cobb County)
