Taste Of Marietta 2021 Set For This Fall
The 27th annual food festival, which usually brings in over 70,000 people, is set for this fall, though it normally takes place each spring.
MARIETTA, GA — Marietta and Cobb County residents can look forward to a little more normalcy in one aspect this year: Taste of Marietta is back.
The 27th annual Taste of Marietta food festival is set to take place Oct. 24 at the Marietta Square, the Marietta Visitors Bureau said in a press release Monday. Normally, Taste of Marietta kicks off the city's festival season on the last Sunday in April; however, the coronavirus pandemic forced the cancellation of the annual event last year.
"The Taste of Marietta not only showcases local restaurants and sponsors but is a fundraiser for the Marietta Visitors Bureau & Welcome Center. This year’s festival will include an emphasis on supporting local restaurants," the release said.

While the coronavirus pandemic is still ongoing, the Marietta Visitors Bureau will be monitoring and following Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendations and Gov. Brian Kemp's executive orders.
The festival — which usually draws in more than 70,000 people each year — features a variety of Cobb County's best restaurants, live music stages, a Kids Alley, games and a food judging competition. It's free to attend; however, food and drinks, as well as some activities, cost money.

Something new this year: a Chef Spotlight stage where guests can watch local chefs prepare dishes live.
"The safety and health of the community, vendors, artists, guests and staff is the festival’s top priority," the release said.
Updates can be found on the Taste of Marietta website and through its Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.
