- The Cobb County Board of Commissioners has decided to table trash service code amendments. The decision was made on Tuesday through a 4-1 vote by the Board. The Board will review the code amendments in January. Some Cobb Commissioners do not want to amendments to be reviewed again at all. (East Cobb News)
- Marietta Police Athletic League has opened a new Little Free Library. The small library is located at the Hugh L Grogan Jr. Community Center. The project is part of a wider effort by Cobb Collaborative to spread Little Free Libraries throughout the county. The library operates under the "Take One, Leave One" policy which encourages readers to contribute materials when possible. (Cobb County Courier)
- The Marietta City Council will be meeting today for an agenda review session and a regularly scheduled meeting. Both sessions will be held in the City Council's chamber in City Hall. The agenda review session will start at 6:00 p.m. with the regularly scheduled meeting starting at 7:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend in person or online. Click for the agenda. - The Marietta Police Department has received reports that scammers are taking advantage of the tragic killing of Cobb County Sherriff's Office deputies. The department is reminding the community that donations should only be made to the Cobb County Sherriff's Office Foundation.
