Walker School Runs Into Tough Competition

The boys and girls both finish 19th at the Roswell Relays.

had a tough day competing against AAAAA and AAAA public high schools Saturday at the Roswell Relays at , finishing 19th out of 21 girls teams and last out of 19 boys teams.

Among the girls, Walker got points from Allie Thomas, who finished eighth in the 3,200-meter run in 12:30.95, and Courtney Rhule, who cleared 4 feet, 10 inches in the high jump to tie for fourth.

For the boys, the only scoring came from Eric Flint, who tied for seventh in the pole vault by clearing 10½ feet.

The relays, co-sponsored by the Roswell Rotary Club and Roswell High School, date back to the 1950s. Host Roswell won the girls’ and boys’ titles.
