COBB COUNTY, GA — Water service has been restored for the roughly 170 homes and two schools affected by a water main break in Kennesaw Wednesday morning, county officials said.

The break happened on Ben King Road in Kennesaw before 8 a.m., affecting Big Shanty Elementary School within the Cobb County School District and private school St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School.

St. Catherine school officials said the elementary and preschools are still closed for the day as Ben King Road was not passable between Big Shanty Elementary and Carrie Farms Road as school started.
