  1. An urgent wind chill warning has been issued throughout Cobb County for the majority of the week. The warning began today (Dec. 22) and will run through Saturday. Dangerously cold winds are expected, with temperatures dropping down to 20 degrees below zero. People in the area are being advised to stay indoors, as the low temperatures could cause frostbite and hypothermia. (Cobb County Courier)
  2. On Dec. 15, the Cobb County Employees' Friendship Club made a major donation to local nonprofits. The Friendship Club presented 26 community organizations with over $64,000. Cobb employees have donated more than $2.5 million since the club was founded back in 1972. The Friendship Club is funded entirely by employee contributions. (Press Release Desk)
  3. Authorities are looking for a Marietta man for his involvement in a case involving insurance fraud, and the Lyft rideshare service. Daronte Powell, 26, has been charged with insurance fraud and forgery for falsely claiming a Lyft driver ran over his foot. False medical records and insurance reports were found during a routine investigation of the claim. Warrants have been issued for Powell's arrest. (FOX5 Atlanta)
