Walton County Deputies Investigate Multiple Burglaries
Walton County Sheriff's Office responded to the following calls Sept. 27-30, 2013.

Zone 1
- Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on Calumet Lane in the Downs at Ammons Bridge. All windows and doors appeared secure.
- Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Monroe Jersey Rd. at P J East Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.
- Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested in reference to a silver passenger vehicle with loud mufflers driving through Red Oak Bend in the early mornings.
Zone 2
- Theft – A firearm was reportedly taken from a vehicle on Hwy 278.
- Abandoned Vehicle – A vehicle was found near the wood line of Unisia Drive and Hwy 83. The keys were left in the vehicle. Walton County deputies were unable to make contact with the owner. The vehicle was towed from the area by a wrecker service.
Zone 3
- Arrest – A subject on Pleasant Valley Rd. was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
- Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on Crystal Brook Way in Crystal Brook subdivision. All windows and doors appeared secure.Â
- Arrest – A subject was arrested on Pleasant Valley Rd. in reference to an outstanding warrant.
- Entering Auto – A vehicle was entered while parked at Carver Middle School on Good Hope Rd. A purse and a GPS system were taken from the vehicle.
- Fraud – A phone scam was reported on Lavista Drive in reference to someone claiming to be the Internal Revenue Service.
- Burglary – A firearm was reportedly taken by someone who entered a residence on Harry Arnold Rd. No forced entry was visible.
- Explosives – At a residence on Snows Mill Rd., while a parent was cleaning their juvenile’s room, a knife and a suspected homemade fused explosive device was found. Criminal Investigations Division was notified.
- Burglary – A forced entry was made through the front window at a residence on Jim Daws Rd. Nothing was taken from the residence.
Zone 5
- Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on Brookhaven Drive in Maggie Valley subdivision. All windows and doors appeared secure.
- Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on Oakmont Circle in Oakmont subdivision. All windows and doors appeared secure.
- Burglary – Several items were taken from students taking their driving test at the Department of Driver Services on Heritage Park. Suspects have been named.
- Arrest – A subject was arrested on New Hope Church Rd. @ St. Martins Way in reference to a DUI and Possession of Drugs.
Zone 6
- Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on Golden Meadows Lane in Golden Meadows subdivision. All windows and doors appeared secure.
- Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Miller Bottom Rd. @ South Sharon Church Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.Â
- Entering Auto – A vehicle was entered on Rosebud Rd. @ the Holy Family Catholic Church. Items were taken from the vehicle.
- Fraud – A fraud report was made on Coggins Rd. in reference to someone using the complainants debit card without permission.
- Firearms – A complaint was made about firearms being discharged from the farming area of Ho Hum Hollow Rd.
Zone 7
- Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested on Atha Circle in reference to possible juveniles damaging the front entrance to the subdivision.
- Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on Maes Overlook in Henderson Ridge. All windows and doors appeared secure.
- Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on Lakeside Blvd. in Woodlake subdivision. All windows and doors appeared secure.
