Pickup Stolen from Car Lot, Golf Cart Stolen from Home in Latest WCSO Reports

Walton County Sheriff's Office investigated the following incidents between July 23-24, 2013.

Zone 1

  • Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested on Jersey Walnut Grove Rd. in reference to a subject selling aerial photographs of citizen’s properties.
  • Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm call on Rivermist Drive. All windows and doors appeared secure.

  • Trespass – A white male and a white female were found in a vacant residence on Willow Wind Court. Citations were issued.
  • Burglary – A burglary report was made at a residence on Miranda Drive. The complainant reported that the drawers had been removed from furniture within the residence. Nothing was taken and there was no forced entry. Extra Patrol was requested. 

Zone 3

  • Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested on Chandler Rd. in reference to two Hispanic males driving a box truck with a company logo of J&J Landscaping. The vehicle was seen driving slowly by a residence in the area.

  • Assault – A subject was assaulted in the front yard of her residence on Helen Drive in Green Acres. The subject knew and identified the suspects.

Zone 5

  • Suspicious Person – A white male in a white t-shirt and blue jeans was chased from a property on Roscoe Davis Rd.
  • Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on June Ivey Rd. @ Mitchell Rd.  Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance and registration.
  • Juvenile Problem – A group of juveniles were suspected of setting off firecrackers on White Oak Trace in White Oak subdivision.
  • Firearms – Firearms were discharged in the area of Morgans Ridge Drive.
  • Theft – A gold golf cart was taken from a residence on Hwy 81.
  • Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at Walker Park Elementary School off Carl Davis Rd. All appeared secure.
  • Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at Walker Park Elementary school off Carl Davis Rd.
  • Unsecured Premises – The gate to the Walton County Board of Education’s transportation department was found open. The premises were checked and re-secured.
  • Extra Patrol – Extra Patrol was requested in reference to speeding vehicles on Bentley Rd.

Zone 6

  • Disorderly Conduct – Three white male subjects were arrested for Disorderly Conduct after being found around a vacant residence on Broadnax Drive. The subjects were under 21 and had consumed alcohol. Deputies found broken windows at the vacant residence.
  • Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on Executive Drive in Lake Serene Subdivision. All doors and windows appeared secure.
  • Stolen Vehicle – A 1999 Ford F150, white in color, was taken from a car lot on Hwy 78. Another vehicle was entered and the steering column was damaged.

Zone 7

  • Area Check – Walton County deputies checked a vacant residence on Monticello Drive in Jefferson Plantation. A faulty light fixture was found inside the residence.  

B.O.L.O. (Be on lookout)

  • Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office has advised to be on the lookout for a group of black males that have been suspected of burglarizing convenience stores in the area of Rockdale County in the past 2-3 weeks. Subjects are taking cigarette cartons and petty cash after breaking in the back doors.
