Undercover Operation Takes Multiple Dealers and Drugs Off Monroe Streets
Three-month operation has already resulted in the arrest of 21 suspects and taken more than $18,000 worth of drugs off the streets, officials say.
According to a press release from Monroe Police Department, a three-month undercover operation has resulted in the arrest of 21 individuals involved in narcotics violations in the city of Monroe. Further arrests are expected.Â
"This was a very successful operation, which took over $18,000.000 of "DOPE" off our streets and will lead to more arrests in the very near future," said Monroe Public Safety Director Keith Glass.
The operation was supported by the MPD Criminal Investigations Division, Field Investigation Team and Chiefs Response Team. The investigation targeted street dealers and mid level dealers within the community of Monroe as well as people who came to the city to purchase illegal narcotics.
According to the press release, the investigation resulted in 65 arrest warrants being issued. Four search warrants were obtained.
