Monroe, GA – Walton County and its municipalities, in conjunction with the Atlanta Regional Commission, are preparing a Comprehensive Transportation Plan. The purpose of the study is to identify current transportation needs and develop short-term and long-term projects to strengthen the transportation network. Â

A public information open house is planned for September 16, 2021, from 5 to 7 pm at the Historic Courthouse, located at 111 South Broad Street in Monroe, GA. Â The purpose of this open house is to present a list of projects recommended for inclusion in the CTP and provide the public with an opportunity to comment on the projects.

The format of the meeting is an open house. Â There will be no formal presentation. Members of the public are invited to drop by at any time between 5 and 7 pm to review study information, speak one on one with project staff, and to submit comments.
