20 Displaced In Norcross Apartment Fire
A bystander told firefighters a child was trapped inside of the building; however, Gwinnett County fire officials determined it was vacant.

NORCROSS, GA β An apartment fire in the 4000 block of Northridge Way left 20 people displaced Wednesday, according to the Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services.
Firefighters responded around 3:45 p.m. to The Elliot Apartments, where they found heavy fire coming from windows and the attic of the three-story apartment building, fire officials said.
A bystander who firefighters saw attempting to break a side window told crews a child was trapped inside of the building, fire officials said.

However, search and rescue teams did not find anyone inside of the vacant building, fire officials said.
No one was injured in the fire, but 20 people were displaced, fire officials said. The American Red Cross assisted with those who were displaced.

The cause of the fire was undetermined.
