NORCROSS, GA -- Gwinnett County animal control officials seized 55 cats from the home of a Norcross woman, Patch has learned.

Neighbors complained of a strong odor coming from a residence on Heron Court, prompting animal control officers to descend upon the home this week.

Gwinnett officials gave the woman, who said she rescues kitties, six citations and will put the animals up for adoption, according to news reports.
