ARRESTED: Norcross Man Wanted In Slaying At Brookhaven Apartments
Edward Tavarez, 24, was captured Tuesday by the DeKalb officers. He is wanted in the slaying of a man at some Brookhaven apartments.
NORCROSS, GA -- A Norcross man wanted in a slaying outside an apartment complex in Brookhaven has been arrested, Patch has learned.
Edward Tavarez, 24, was captured Tuesday by officers with the DeKalb Sheriffβs Office Fugitive Task Force, officials said. Law enforcement authorities said that Tavarez is suspected of gunning down a man at the Avana Apartments on Clairmont Road on June 1.

The search for Tavarez became a Crime Stoppers case earlier this week, with the Gwinnett County man being wanted to felony murder and armed robbery.
Brookhaven police said that neither the victim or suspect lived in the apartment complex. Tavarez was last seen driving a white 2012 Mercedes E350 with the state license plate REE3348.

Tavarez is being held at the DeKalb County Detention Center, authorities said.
