Atlanta Man Charged In Mysterious Gwinnett Murder

A 21-year-old man has been charged with the homicide that occurred Jan. 9 on S Norcross Tucker Road.

NORCROSS, GA — Gwinnett Police have charged Jordan Brantley, 21, of Atlanta, with the homicide that occurred on Jan. 9 at 6065 S Norcross Tucker Road. Detectives were able to establish probable cause after speaking with witnesses and gathering evidence related to the crime. Detectives are still investigating the incident as they believe there may be at least one other person with some involvement in this case.

The exact identity of the victim has not been confirmed yet. Detectives are waiting to meet with next of kin for identification and notification.

A man was shot and killed Wednesday afternoon around 5:30 p.m. When officers arrived they located a black male, approximately in his 40s-50s, with a gunshot wound to his upper body.

Medical personnel arrived and transported the male to an area hospital. He later died as a result of his injuries sustained. The Crime Scene Unit and Homicide detectives responded to process the scene. Witnesses to the incident remained on scene and are speaking to and cooperating with detectives. Information gathered led detectives to a person of interest that was located at a separate location. Details on that information are not being released due to the active investigation.
