Cops: Screaming Woman Scares Away Armed Man
Inside the Police Reports: A Norcross woman told authorities that someone with a gun came to her door and struck her, so she yelled at him and he left.

A Norcross woman told police that she had scared away an armed man with her screaming.
According to the Norcross Police report, the incident occurred at the Garden Plaza Hotel at 6050 Peachtree Industrial Blvd. on a recent Sunday.
The woman told police that a man came to her room around 5:20 p.m. When she opened the door, he struck her with a handgun. She started screaming and he ran away.

The victim described the suspect as being a black male who was in his 30s and wearing a gray hat and shirt with a black leather jacket.
Police advised her to call again if she sees the man a second time. There's no mention in the report about anyone else seeing the suspect or incident.

According to the report, as the woman was being checked for injuries, she told the officer that she had only been in Georgia for a week. After running her information through the police database, the Norcross officer discovered that she had been cited for criminal trespassing at two locations within city limits in the last two months.
