Facebook Helps Police Identify Man Found Dead In Norcross

NORCROSS, GA — A man who was recently found dead at a Norcross construction site has been identified as Carlos Figueroa Flores, 35.

Gwinnett County Police had been working to identify the man, seeking the public's help in the past few weeks.

Officers responded on Aug. 7 to a suspicious activity call near Live Oak Parkway in unincorporated Norcross. Police said construction workers at a new construction site found the man's body.

Police said Wednesday a friend of Flores saw a Facebook post made by police and contacted the Gwinnett County Medical Examiner's Office, leading to the identification of Flores and a next-of-kin notification.

Flores was last known to live in Gwinnett County, police said. His cause and manner of death remains under investigation.
