Snellville Teen Shot Dead At Gwinnett County Apartment Complex

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — A Snellville teenager was shot dead Saturday after a fight with a resident of a Norcross apartment complex.

Desmon Wright, 18, was identified Monday by the Gwinnett County Police Department as the shooting victim.

Investigators said they believe Wright got into an altercation early Saturday morning with a resident of the Las Palmas Apartments on Seasons Parkway in Norcross. The resident shot Wright, and he died at the scene.

Authorities said Monday they're still gathering details about what happened. No charges have been filed.

Gwinnett police investigated another shooting death at the same apartment complex in November. Andrew Thomas, 24, was found on Nov. 22 with at least one gunshot wound, sitting in a car in front of the leasing office. He later died at a local hospital. Dallas Shank, 17, of Alpharetta and Quindarius Clemon, 23, of Atlanta have since been arrested and charged with Thomas’s murder.
