Man Shot, Killed In Norcross, Police Search For Clues

A man was shot and killed in Norcross Wednesday afternoon and police are interviewing witnesses and searching for clues.

NORCROSS, GA— A man was shot and killed Wednesday afternoon at 6065 S Norcross Tucker Road in unincorporated Norcross. The identification of the victim is being withheld pending next of kin notification.

Gwinnett Police responded to a person shot call around 5:30 p.m. When officers arrived they located a black male, approximately in his 40s-50s, with a gunshot wound to his upper body.

Medical personnel arrived and transported the male to an area hospital. He later died as a result of his injuries sustained. The Crime Scene Unit and Homicide detectives responded to process the scene. Witnesses to the incident remained on scene and are speaking to and cooperating with detectives. Information gathered led detectives to a person of interest that was located at a separate location. Details on that information are not being released due to the active investigation.
