Norcross Crash Involving Ambulance Seriously Injures Person
The ambulance was heading to a medical call Thursday, when a driver turned in its path and caused the ambulance to hit the car.

NORCROSS, GA — A crash involving a car and a Gwinnett County Fire Department ambulance heading to a call for service seriously injured a person Thursday afternoon, Gwinnett County Police said.
Police said the crash happened around 3:15 p.m. at the intersection of Jimmy Carter Boulevard and Quails Lake Village Lane.
The ambulance, with sirens and lights activated, was responding to a medical call at the time. Police said the ambulance was traveling in the center lane of Jimmy Carter, when the car on Quails Lake Village turned left in the ambulance's path.

The ambulance hit the car on its driver's side, police said. The fire medics immediately rendered aid to the driver.
The driver was taken to a local hospital by another ambulance, police said. There were no patients in the back of the ambulance at the time of the crash.

None of the fire medics were injured in the crash, police said.
