Norcross Fires Injure 2, Displace 10; Suspect Sought
Gwinnett County fire investigators say fires at Buckingham Court and Turners Ridge Drive were intentionally set.
NORCROSS, GA β A woman is being sought in connection with two weekend residential fires that investigators say were purposely set in Norcross.
Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services said multiple warrants have been issued to charge Hong T. Huynh, 61, of Norcross, in connection with the fires. Huynh is not currently in custody, and fire officials did not identify the charges.
Firefighters responded to the first blaze around 5:45 a.m. Saturday in the 6000 block of Buckingham Court. Fire officials said a 911 caller told dispatchers the fire was in their neighbor's garage, and a victim was at the scene.

Minutes later, around 6 a.m., firefighters responded to the 1300 block of Turners Ridge Drive. The 911 caller said her home had caught fire, and the flames were spreading to a vehicle in the driveway, fire officials said.
The unnamed source of the fire was outside of the home, fire officials said. The home was moderately damaged due to the fire, officials said.
One person had to be treated for non-threatening injuries and was released at the scene, fire officials said. Four adults and two minors were displaced due to the fire and were helped by the American Red Cross, officials said.
Investigators determined that both fires were connected and intentionally set, fire officials said. They noted arson is a felony that is punishable by imprisonment and fines in Georgia.
Investigators asked anyone with information on the fires to call the Gwinnett County Fire Investigations Section, (678) 518-4890, or the Georgia Arson Control Hotline, 1 (800) 282-5804.
Georgia Arson Control, Inc. offers a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for arson, fire officials said.
