The city of Norcross is looking for applicants to fill two open spots on the Planning and Zoning Board.
According to the Norcross website:
The City of Norcross is currently accepting application[s] for the Planning and Zoning Board. The Planning and Zoning Board makes recommendations to the City Council on rezoning applications, special use permits, and changes to the Zoning Ordinance. The recommendations of the Board are not binding, but rather meant to allow a full discussion and analysis of the development request.

City Manager Rudolph Smith wrote in an email that there are currently three board members to date. While it's enough for a quorum to conduct meetings, he continued, if one of the three is out for any reason, it could cause a delay in getting zoning issues handled in a timely manner.
The Planning and Zoning Board meets on the third Tuesday of every month. The city of Norcross provides any necessary training to its board members, whose terms last for four years.
