Norcross Real Estate Market On The Rise

"Stay tune for the surprises ahead; those of you already living in Historic Norcross are really going to be pleased."

Times are great!  I’ve never seen a real estate market like the one we are in right now and that is speaking as a real estate professional for 29 years.  I live in Historic Norcross.

I’ve always said I live in the best kept secret in the metro Atlanta area. Norcross is located just outside the perimeter so you can get to the airport in 40 minutes be downtown in 30 minutes but why would you want to go downtown when most everything I want is five minutes from my house?

In Historic Norcross we have some of the best restaurants - where the owner gives you a hug and has your order waiting for you.  I love doing business with folks that know my name and are truly glad for my business.  Where else can you have free rocking concerts during the summer or fireworks on the 3rd of July not to mention car shows and art festivals.

I always sign up to help the artist check-in. I love seeing everyone at 4:30 in the morning - smiling and welcoming folks to our town.   My husband Randy and I are home grown Atlanta folks so we think we have died and gone to heaven.

Living in a community where you have the mayor live across the street and city council officials that you can call on when you need something.  Did I mention that we have a less-than four-minute response time for police and fire services?  Can you tell I love my city? But, I need to be talking about the real estate market.

I just listed some of the reasons that the Norcross market is very active right now.  We are lucky enough to have historic homes, wonderful solid-brick ranches, a mixture of newer construction and a great combination of lot sizes.  For instance, in my subdivision homeowners have mature landscaping and large lots but limited newer construction.

I live in Norcross Hills, just a short stroll to downtown.  For me what is so great about where I live is four of my 13 grandchildren live next door.  Again, something that makes our community so neat is that you will find different family generations living in the same area.

We have several new communities scheduled to begin construction in the next several months.  If all the potential lots ready for building were completed, we would have 200 more homes, and there is planned variety.

With the new construction you can find just about anything you want and in all different price ranges: from custom-built homes in the mid $400’s to sweet cottages from the mid $200’s.   Again, we will also have some new communities in the works that will feature traditionally large lots – stay tune for the surprises ahead.  (And I am not just talking about the Adams property - those of you already living in Historic Norcross are really going to be pleased).

What I’ve tried to share with you is why our market in Norcross has rebounded and is doing so well.  Most everyone that moves to Norcross wants that small town feel.  Folks that come here love being close to work and they love the livability and option to walk downtown, visit parks, enjoy mature trees and the charm of our historic railroad town.

So, if you already live in Norcross, consider yourself one of the lucky ones!  For those of you that would like to live in Norcross - just call me - I would love to share my hometown with you and help you become one of our Norcross neighbors.
