Pedestrian Struck And Killed In Norcross
BREAKING: Pedestrian hit and killed early Thursday on Jimmy Carter Boulevard in Norcross, Gwinnett County police say.
NORCROSS, GA -- A pedestrian was hit and killed early Thursday on Jimmy Carter Boulevard in Norcross, Gwinnett County police said. A motorist is in custody in the accident, which occurred before sunrise.
"At approximately 4 a.m. this morning GCPD responded to a pedestrian fatality at the intersection of Jimmy Carter Blvd at Everest Trail," said Gwinnett police spokesman Cpl. Deon Washington. "The driver remained at the scene and was arrested for driving without a license. The pedestrian was not walking in the crosswalk area when the accident happened."
The intersection has reportedly been shut down as officials investigate the crash. At this time, the victim nor the driver's name has not been released.
