NORCROSS, GA - A person-of-interest now has felony murder and aggravated assault charges against him after, police say, he murdered his roommate and is still on the run.
Gwinnett County Police are seeking the whereabouts of Heraclio Solis-Ortiz, 56. Police say he murdered a man who died of blunt force trauma last week. Solis-Ortiz is not known to drive a vehicle, so there is a possibility that he is still in the Norcross area, police said.
Geremias Barrios Diaz, 52, was found dead at Villas Del Camino Apartments. He was found in the kitchen of his apartment when one of his roommates returned home at 1355 Graves Road. The roommate immediately contacted police and reported that a third roommate, Solis-Ortiz, may have been having an on-going dispute with the victim. At the time police arrived, all of Solis-Ortiz's belongings had already been removed from the residence.
