Contemporary African American Quilts by the Brown Sugar Stitchers Quilt Guild.
This beautiful exhibit opens with an artist's reception from 6:30pm – 8:30pm that includes musical entertainment with the string trio, “Main Street Strings,” an Americana band. One of the Brown Sugar Stitcher’s quilts will be available to bid on by silent auction as well. The exhibit will continue throughout the month of August. This walkable outdoor exhibit of original sculptures is centered around Suwanee's Town Green, a great place for lunch, a drink, or just spending the day at the park.

The Weird Sisters Theatre Project, a professional theatre company in residence at the New American Shakespeare Tavern, spreads their wings northward to Aurora Theatre for their production of Emilie: La Marquise Du Châtelet Defends Her Life Tonigh The play is about Emilie du Châtelet, the real-life 18th century scientific genius, Voltaire's lover, and quite simply one of history's most intriguing women.

The GEHC invites visitors to explore the world of games in an interactive exhibit. The exhibit highlights games from around the world and across the centuries and demonstrates how people have invented imaginative ways of playing together. The exhibit features one of the earliest games known to man. Visitors can rewind the clock and play a game of Senet, which is an early racing game that dates back 3,000 years.
