3 Arbor Day Events Planned In Peachtree Corners
The City of Peachtree Corners has scheduled three environmental events for the coming weeks.

PEACHTREE CORNERS, GA — The City of Peachtree Corners has scheduled three environmental events for the coming weeks.
Celebrates Arbor Day
- Students and residents will plant trees and learn about native tree and plant species at Pinckneyville Middle School on Friday, April 27, at 4:30 p.m., as the City of Peachtree Corners celebrates Arbor Day. The event is hosted by the city’s Green Committee. Also planned is the recognition of a 2018 Heritage Tree. A different tree is selected each year based on its exceptional size, form and rarity. The public is welcome to attend the event at the school and take home a little “Arbor” in the form of an Oak or Maple tree seedling.
- A free electronics recycling and paper shredding event will take place at the Peachtree Corners City Hall at 310 Technology Parkway on Saturday, April 14, from 9 a.m. to noon. Residents of Peachtree Corners are invited to recycle electronics and shred unwanted documents. The city has hired Proshred and eWaste-ePlanet for the event. Residents are limited to five medium-size boxes of paper materials. Most electronics are free to recycle. LCD flat screen monitors are free to recycle, however there is a charge for some items. - A stream clean-up has been scheduled for Saturday, May 5, at 8:30 a.m. along Crooked Creek in Peachtree Corners. The event, organized by the Peachtree Corners Green Committee, is expected to finish around noon. Individuals under the age of 18 years may participate, but only if supervised by an adult and have written parental consent. The minimum age to volunteer is 12 years of age.
