Brunswick Unveils Its Re-Designed Bowling Center
The Peachtree Corners location has a sleek new look, 34 lanes, outdoor patio, lane-side loft bar, new restaurant, arcade and conference room.
Wow! That exclamation was repeated again and again as visitors entered and got their first glimpse of Brunswick's, Peachtree Corners plush new 40,000 square-foot, multi-million dollar bowling and entertainment center Tuesday.
Mayor Mike Mason, Councilwoman Lori Christopher, Councilman Jay Lowe and Gwinnett County Commissioner Lynette Howard were among the dignitaries on hand to cut the ribbon on this spectacular new facility.
Located at 6345 Spalding Drive, Brunswick's represents a major investment by the 150-year-old Brunswick Corporation in Gwinnett County's newest and biggest city.
Before cutting the ribbon cutting, Mason welcomed Brunswick officials and thanked them for their confidence and investment in the city.
"The great fear of most cities and communities today is that businesses will leave them," Mason said. "The fact that you decided to stay and invest speaks volumes about what the city is now. We're not just a destination, but a community where everyone lives, works and plays."
Brunswick Retail President Jim Fox, said Brunswick owns 100 bowling centers nationwide and Peachtree Corners was at the top of the list for remodeling.
"This is a multi-million dollar investment," Fox said. "We just upgraded it 30 years. We also went from 30 employees to 90 employees, bringing an additional 60 jobs to Peachtree Corners."
Brunswick's showcases a completely remodeled interior with 34 bowling lanes each with its own big-screen TV located just above the pins so bowlers won't miss other sports action like UGA, Georgia Tech and Falcons games while they bowl.
There is a totally unique lofted bar area situated in the middle of the bowling lane area, which gives you a highly unusual perspective of the action. There is also a conference center for business meetings, an arcade with all the bells, whistles and flashing lights for the kids and Tavern 45, which is crafted around distinctive American pub fare but with a focus on unique, quality ingredients like Vietnamese pork belly tacos, a sweet arugula salad, chicken and white bean chili and Jamaican jerk, Korean BBQ and classic wings.Â
Brunswick’s is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to midnight and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. There is private event space available for rent. For more information, please visit www.brunswicks.com or call 770-840-8200.
