Government Offices Close for Fourth of July Holiday

Trash and recycling collections are scheduled as normal and will not be affected by the holiday.

Peachtree Corners City Hall will be closed on Thursday for Independence Day and will reopen on Friday, July 5. Office hours are 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

All U.S. Post Offices, including the Peachtree Corners Branch will close for the holiday and reopen on Friday the 5th.

Local banks and the Gwinnett Tag office in Peachtree Corners also will be closed.

All Gwinnett County government offices with the exception of those operations required for the comfort and safety of residents, will be closed July 4 for the Independence Day holiday, according to a news release.

County offices will resume normal business hours July 5. A Magistrate Court judge will be available at the Gwinnett County Detention Center during the holiday.

Trash and recycling collections are scheduled as normal and will not be affected by the holiday, though. The Gwinnett County Solid Waste and Recycling Call Center will be closed that day, but hauler call centers will be open.

Residents can visit www.sustainablegwinnett.comto find their hauler’s contact information. Residents who live in a city should contact their city to find out if trash and recycling will be delayed due to the holiday.
