Labor Day Weekend Weather: Sun, Storms in Forecast

Sometimes, Labor Day weekend gives us an extra shot at summer. There’s a chance for a little bit of that this weekend, but there’s also a chance of showers and thunderstorms.

• Friday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 91. Calm wind becoming northwest around 5 mph.
• Friday Night: A 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 70. Calm wind.
• Saturday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 86. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
• Sunday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 83. East wind around 5 mph.
• Labor Day: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 84.
