Mayor to Deliver First State of City Address Monday

Peachtree Corners Mayor Mike Mason will have a busy schedule Monday. He begins the day by delivering his first State of the City Address at the Atlanta Marriott Norcross in Peachtree Corners at a breakfast meeting starting with networking at 7:30 a.m.

That event is presented by the Peachtree Corners Business Association (PCBA) and sponsored by Gwinnett Medical Center Duluth. Guests are requested to pre-register at www.peachtreecornersba.com Cost is $5 for PCBA members and $15 for non-members. 

At 7:30 p.m., the mayor will be the featured speaker at a meeting of the United Peachtree Corners Civic Association (UPCCA) at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Peachtree Corners.

At both events, Mason can be expected to point to a number of first-year successes, including the fact that City Council approved a FY 2013-'14 budget last week that eliminated the millage rate. Peachtree Corners will be one of only a handful of Georgia cities that doesn't impose a property tax on its citizens.
