Police Seize $280K in Heroin in Gwinnett Drug Raid
2 people were arrested and charged with trafficking after the raid at Ashford Jackson Creek Apartments near Norcross.

Police in Gwinnett seized nearly 9 pounds of heroin and arrested two people Friday in a multi-agency raid at a Norcross-area apartment.
The Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office said the drugs -- weighing 4 kilos (8.8 pounds) -- had a wholesale street value of $280,000.
According to a news release, local and federal agents raided an apartment at the Ashford Jackson Creek Apartments on Sunrise Village Lane, where Crecenio Silverio, 35, and Magarita Barragan, 27, were arrested. They have both been charged with heroin trafficking. Both suspects live at the apartment.

The Gwinnett Metro Task Force, working in tandem with federal agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosive (ATF) executed the search warrant on the apartment Friday.
The Task Force is comprised of deputies from the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office and officers from the Lilburn, Lawrenceville, Duluth and Suwanee police departments.
