Centennial High School Recognizes Top Academic Performers

Six students were recognized at Centennial HS on Valentine's Day for being the highest academic achieving students in the school.

From Centennial High School: It is only fitting on Valentine’s Day that we share the love and admiration we have for our highest-achieving academic students in the 2017 graduating class at Centennial High School.

The school has named Kyle Qian as its STAR student for 2017—the student in the senior class with the highest overall SAT score. Kyle selected Dr. Shih—who teaches AP Calculus BC, among other top math classes—as the teacher at Centennial who has influenced him the most. Dr. Shih is our 2017 STAR teacher.

Our three National Merit Finalists for 2017 are Karl Jacobi, Kyle Qian and Caroline Wittschen.

The school’s Valedictorian for the class of 2017 is Ashwin Rathie, and its Salutatorian is Andrew Kristanto.

“We are so proud of these students and feel honored to stand beside them as they reflect on their own accomplishments,” said Kibbey Crumbley, Principal of Centennial High School. “And, as a parent myself, it is wonderful to see these moments captured. Time flies by so quickly. I look forward to seeing the path these students take in the future!”
