Children’s Development Academy Dedicates Hagan Hall

The CDA recently celebrated the dedication of Hagan Hall to recognize the longtime commitment of Bob Hagan and the Hagan Family Foundation.

The Children’s Development Academy (CDA), a nonprofit providing high quality early education to children from low-income families, recently celebrated the dedication of Hagan Hall to recognize the longtime commitment of Bob Hagan and the Hagan Family Foundation to the CDA. Fellow board members, staff, family and CDA students gathered for a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Bob Hagan is a member of the CDA Board of Directors as well as a businessman and philanthropist in Roswell, Georgia. For over 30 years he has been involved with the mission of the CDA to ensure that every child in our community has access to high quality early education to prepare for Kindergarten.

In 2017, the Hagan Family Foundation started a series of challenge grants to grow support for the CDA. Those grants became the catalyst for an individual giving program and provided scholarship funding for children in need to attend the CDA.

“The CDA has meant so much to my family over the years. We believe in early childhood education and giving these young minds the foundation that will certainly give them a rewarding future. Your education is always with you. The Hagan family is proud to be a part of the CDA and it is such an honor to have Hagan Hall named on our behalf,” said Bob Hagan. “The CDA is an amazing organization that makes a difference in so many young people’s lives. One of my favorite quotes that very well applies to the CDA, ‘Never stop doing the little things for others. Sometimes these little things occupy the biggest part of their hearts’ – Winne the Pooh.”

“The newly named Hagan Hall is the largest space at the CDA,” said CDA Associate Director Sheila Sillitto. “It is where our Pre-K students have breakfast and lunch every day and where we host school programs as well as family and community events. It is the heart of the school and we think the best place to honor the Hagan family’s commitment to the CDA.”
