• Roswell police issue warning after stopping a phone scam by someone pretending to be officer (wsbradio.com) — Roswell police are warning residents about a phone scam where callers pose as local officers, even using real employee names, to demand money for fake warrants. Officers stress they will never request payment by phone and urge anyone receiving such calls to hang up and contact the Roswell Police Department directly. Investigators believe many of these calls originate outside Georgia.
