Lane Closure Extended After Flooding In Roswell

Flooding on State Route 92 west has had two of three lanes blocked since around 5:15 a.m. Wednesday.

ROSWELL, GA — As rain continues to come down on metro Atlanta, flooding on State Route 92 west has two of three lanes blocked Wednesday near Bent Grass Drive, according to the state transportation alert system, 511GA.

Traffic appears to have been impacted since around 5:15 a.m., with the alert system showing a new estimated clearance time of 5 p.m. though that could change.

Shortly after 8:30 a.m., Roswell Police cautioned drivers to avoid the area of Azalea Drive at Willeo Road due to "weather-related flooding." Police said to expect delays at East Crossville Road and Bent Grass.

St. Andrew Catholic Church at Riverside Road shared a 23-second video on Facebook that showed massive flooding.

"If you are visiting us today, come either on a canoe or park by the chapel," the church said.

Riverside is about 10 minutes from Bent Grass.
