Why: The children we serve have endured a lot prior to finding themselves living in a shelter or group home or piled into a seedy hotel room with several families sharing one room a few beds and one bathroom. These children go to school and they hear their classmates talking about the new Xbox or cellphone they are hoping to get. I have been told by a child that “Christmas was the worst day of the year because they knew they were getting nothing.” Part of what we believe is every child deserves a childhood, and getting new toys and gifts for these children gives them a way to take part in the magic of Christmas morning. It creates a lifelong memory and, most importantly, it lets them know that they are cared for. They will never know the names of the generous people that donate new toys and gifts but they will certainly know someone cares and that they are not forgotten.

Children's Restoration Network (CRN) is a non-profit organization focusing on the plight of homeless children in our community since 1993. In addition to meeting basic needs, CRN conducts special events to provide a broad range of positive experiences for the children and their mothers to promote healthy and happy community interactions. CRN also provides educational support to group homes and shelters through providing new and filled book bags to children, plus awarding New Hope Scholarships to young adults to attend college, trade or technical school. Our organization supports group homes, shelters, and community outreach organizations by distributing frozen poultry, personal hygiene kits, household goods, and coats and blankets to those in need throughout the year.
