About 600 students, as young as second grade, are learning the basics of carpentry and construction at Mountain Park Elementary School.
ROSWELL, GA — Nearly 600 Roswell students are learning the basics of carpentry and construction in a class offered at Mountain Park Elementary School, reported the Atlanta-Journal Constitution.
CEFGA, a nonprofit that promotes training for skilled trade jobs, partnered with the elementary school last year to work with fifth graders, but this year it expanded to include younger grades.
Financial support came from Fulton County Schools.
