Roswell High School Announces New Swim and Dive Coach

Roswell High School is excited to announce Donna J. Klucsarits as the new coach for the Swim and Dive team.

“We’re happy to welcome Ms. Klucsarits to Roswell,” said Principal Dr. Robert Shaw. “She brings with her extensive experience as a coach and teacher. We’re excited to see how she leads our swimmers and divers and inspires her students in the classroom too.”

Said Athletic Director Ben Sutter, “We are extremely excited to have Coach Klucsarits take the helm for our Roswell Swim program. She brings a wealth of knowledge to the program and is extremely eager to get our young athletes to the next level.”

Klucsarits joins RHS from Cherokee County Schools, and previously worked for Cobb County Schools as a Math Department Chair and part of Cobb County Schools Teacher Recruitment Team. Prior to her teaching career in North Metro Atlanta, the Florida native taught and coached in South Georgia. Over her teaching career, Klucsarits has taught both special education and regular education.

“In my prior experience coaching at a private school in South Georgia, I coached the small swim team,” said Klucsarits. “I look forward to the challenge of leading a larger swim team with diving at Roswell.”

During her own high school career, she was a member of the track, cross country, softball and soccer teams. She became a certified lifeguard and water instructor.

Klucsarits is looking forward to her new coaching position.

“As for what I want the athletes to accomplish, I want them to have a consistent year with personal improvements, developing their overall health and endurance along the way,” she said. “Mostly, I want them to enjoy their teammates, have fun, and continue to realize how swimming can be a life-long sport that they continue to enjoy.”

Klucsarits holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Special Education as well as a Specialist’s degree in Leadership. She is math certified.

A Holly Springs, Ga., resident, Klucsarits enjoys spending time with her husband Kevin, two children Kat and Matthew, and three rescue pets.
