Roswell Schools Will Increase Security After Texas School Shooting
Fulton County Public Schools will provide extra security for the last two days of the school year, the district said.
ROSWELL, GA — Fulton County Public Schools will provide extra security for the last two days of the school year after the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Texas on Tuesday.
Nineteen children and two adults were killed. The shooter, identified as 18-year-old Salvador Ramos, of Uvalde entered the school armed with a handgun and rifle. He barricaded himself inside a classroom and opened fire. Ramos was killed in the shooting by law enforcement officers, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said. The remainder of the school year has been canceled.
In response to the incident, Fulton County Public Schools said for the last two days of the school year, the Fulton County Police Department, Campus Security Associates and administrators will be “vigilant and aware” of the safety concerns the community has after the Robb Elementary School shooting.

Fulton school staff will also be ready and available for students who want to talk about their feelings, the district said.
“For the families at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, we send our thoughts and love,” the district said in a Facebook post. “Even though your school may be far from ours, a senseless act such as this impacts us all.”
