Big Trees Entrance Torn Apart Due to Storms, Clean-up

Several large trees have fallen in Big Trees Forest Preserve due to recent storms, blocking some trails. A statement from the City of Sandy Springs said, the Big Trees Board has recommended that the Preserve be closed until the trees can be removed.

In an earlier Patch post, Christine Heller wrote: "We were walking in there this past weekend and there's a lot of trees down, including a number of HUGE ones. We had to take several detours off the trail due to the fallen trees blocking the path."
