Delta Community Credit Union Awards $12,000 In Grants

From Delta Community Credit Union: Two organizations serving North Fulton County are the latest charities to benefit from the Delta Community Philanthropic Fund.

This week, Delta Community Credit Union presented a $7,000 grant to the Sandy Springs-based Mary Hall Freedom House (MHFH), which provides housing, education and addiction recovery support to women throughout metro Atlanta. Specifically, this grant will support MHFH programs which help children cope with psychological and developmental challenges.

Delta Community CEO Hank Halter also presented $5,000 to Habitat for Humanity of North Central Georgia to support its Family Service and Education Program, which teaches new homeowners how to manage their finances and run a household.

Throughout 2017, the Delta Community Philanthropic Fund will distribute a total of $100,000 to 22 organizations in the Atlanta area, helping fulfill Delta Community’s goal of strengthening local communities through education, financial support and volunteer efforts.
