Georgia Not Listed in Trader Joe’s Recall of Contaminated Chicken

Trader Joe’s Butter Chicken with Basmati Rice was recalled in stores in 14 states and Washington D.C. on Dec. 1.

Georgia was not among those states. Trader Joe’s has a Sandy Springs location on Roswell Road.  

A note to customers on Trader Joe’s website says the chicken may be contaminated with listeria monocytogenes, but there were no reports of illness so far.

Stores in the recall are located in Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Massachusetts, Maine, Maryland, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Virginia and Washington D.C.
